About
I grew up in Sapporo and first tried ski jumping at 11, at a youth club trial day. You're in the air for just a few seconds — and I've kept climbing the hill for those seconds ever since.
I joined Japan's national team in 2016, have competed full-time on the FIS World Cup since 2018, and stood on my first World Cup podium in Ruka in 2022. In 2026 I won the FIS Summer Grand Prix overall, sealing it in Râșnov on my 30th birthday.
Somewhere along the way, winning stopped being my only reason to jump. In 2019 I founded Flying Laboratory, so that together with my partners and the members of my online community, the Lab, I can keep flying on my own terms — in the good years and the hard ones.
Today I live in Kranj, Slovenia, working toward the 2027 World Championships in Falun.
